What is a couples massage?
Couples massage is a term used for two people receiving a massage from two different massage therapists at the same time. At Touch Kaua`i, we offer couples massages in one room, our scenic atrium. The beauty of a couples massage is, that both can relax at the same time, don’t have to wait for one another and both can benefit from the synergy that is created when two therapists work together in one room.

What’s the most beneficial duration of a massage?
This depends on your desire. Most people are used to receiving one hour treatments, yet, we recommend 75 to 90 minutes for your massage, especially for a lomilomi massage. This allows you to take your relaxation a step further and allows the practitioner to take the time to deeply listen to your body and to intuitively apply those techniques that seem to be most beneficial for you at this time. This doesn’t mean, that one hour is not enough for a good massage, it just means, that you gift yourself with a real treat, if you allow the extra time for your journey into your wellbeing.
